Senior FPGA Development Engineer (8107)
Contribute in the design and development of cutting-edge packet processing platforms
Responsibilities:
- Participate in the design, development and testing of complex core FPGA designs.
- Work with other team members and management to provide feedback on project scheduling and risks.
- Participate in documentation of functional specifications, design specifications and test specifications.
- Participate in peer code review.
- Participate in system level bring-up, verification, and qualification
Required Skills:
- 7-10 years of FPGA design engineering experience
- BSEE or equivalent
- Full FPGA design cycle involving RTL coding, simulation, timing analysis, synthesis, place & route, and debug
- Implementations using Verilog
- System integration with board-level designs
- Experience working with Xilinx FPGAs, from RTL design through simulation, timing analysis, synthesis, and place & route and debug
- Experience with FPGA Synthesis & Place and route and timing closure
- Experience with Synplicity, Synthesis and ModelSim/QuestaSim Simulation tools/environment
Desired Skills:
- Experience in designing for million gate or larger FPGA projects
- Experience working with full hardware design cycles
- Experience in defining complex high-speed digital architectures
- Independent and self-managing
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Experience interfacing with an embedded and network processors (especially IXP2800).
- Lab bring-up and debug of hardware designs. Experience with Oscilloscope, Network Test Equipment (IXIA),ChipScope etc.
- Experience with networking protocols
