CloudShield Applications

CloudShield provides several a number of key network applications, including:

DNS Defender
Domain Name Service (DNS) is described as the dial tone for the Internet. If a DNS server is compromised and taken offline, "triple play" subscribers lose access to Internet, TV and phone services. CloudShield's DNS Defender application protects service provider DNS servers from attack, while accelerating performance. DNS Defender filters specified domains, ensures protocol compliance, limits protocol options and rate limits DNS requests, as well as caching and resolving queries at over 1 million queries / second. Service providers and web hosting companies significantly reduce their operational costs because DNS Defender eliminates the need for firewalls, load balancers and the majority of the DNS servers and the associated power and management costs. Subscriber Services Manager (SSM)
CloudShield's Subscriber Services Manager application enables service providers to ensure a quality user experience for their subscribers. This solution provides a means to understand and mitigate network traffic congestion. Service providers can set and enforce bandwidth policy limits on a per subscriber basis with application and time of day/week granularity. This application also tracks and reports comprehensive network demographics including: bandwidth consumed by protocol, top bandwidth consumed either by user or protocol, most active hosts, and more. Service providers of DSL, cable or wireless services can maximize customer satisfaction and at the same time manage capital equipment investment and operational expenses. Learn More
