Dr. Alf L. Andreassen
Dr. Andreassen, who serves
as CloudShield Chairman,
is a Principal and Member
of the Homeland Security Fund
Investment Committee and is
focused on the development
and implementation of new
investment opportunities for
Paladin's Homeland Security
Fund. Dr. Andreassen has a
record of years of distinguished
service in the public and
private sectors. During his
years of government service,
his private career and his
service on corporate boards,
Dr. Andreassen has concentrated
on the realization of the
potential of innovative technology
and on the structural and
managerial elements necessary
to bring good ideas to practical
applications.
During the last ten years,
he has served on the boards
of directors of seven companies,
almost all of which have involved
high technology to advance
security and provide other
benefits to their customers.
He was a founding member of
AT&T Solutions, one of the
fastest growing professional
service organizations of its
kind. As Technical Advisor
for Naval Warfare and as a
result of his service with
the Science Advisor to the
President, and with the Bell
Laboratories, Dr. Andreassen
has been identified with promoting
technological innovation in
the area of national security.
For example, at the Bell Laboratories
and at AT&T he had responsibilities
for AT&T's support of classified
national programs in the areas
of Command, Control, Communications
and Intelligence.
Dr. Andreassen received his PhD in Physical Chemistry from Cornell University and completed
a postdoctoral fellowship in Materials Science, also at Cornell.
Dr. Andreassen represents Paladin on the board of directors of AgION Technologies and RAMSAFE Technologies

Bill
Elmore
In creating Foundation Capital
in 1995, Bill was merely continuing
his long history of building
strong organizations from
the inside. He is currently
also serving on the board
of directors for Onyx Software
(ONXS), Wind River Systems
(WIND), Atheros Communications,
MarkMonitor, Packet Design,
TeaLeaf Technology, Vernier
Networks, Wherenet, Biz360,
UxComm, SOLARFLARE Communications,
and ADEXS.
Before Foundation Capital,
Bill was a General Partner
at Inman & Bowman for
eight years, and before that,
Bill worked as the president
of Visual Engineering, a graphics
software supplier, and in
a variety of key marketing
management roles at Hewlett-Packard.
As director and past president
of the Western Association
for Venture Capitalists, and
in his role as a director
of the National Venture Capital
Association, Bill is actively
involved in defining, serving
and representing the interests
of the venture capital and
private equity industries.
In addition to an MBA from
the Stanford Graduate School
of Business, Bill holds a
BSEE and MSEE from Purdue
University.

Steve Foster
Steve is a partner with TPG Ventures, focusing on
communications, storage and software companies. Prior to joining TPG
Ventures in 2000, Steve was a Partner at Crosspoint Venture Partners.
From 1995 to 1998, Steve was the Director of Business Development for
3Com Corporation. Prior to joining 3Com, he spent six years at Hewlett
Packard where he held a variety of finance, marketing and business
development roles. From 1984 to 1988, he was an Audit Manager at Ernst
& Young. Steve earned his M.B.A. with honors from Northwestern
University in 1989. He received his B.S. degree in 1984 as a Phi Beta
Kappa graduate of Santa Clara University.

Matt Jones
President and Chief Executive Officer
Matt Jones brings 20 years of multi-disciplined management to CloudShield Technologies
from the communications, networking, and storage industries. He joins CloudShield
after most recently serving as CEO of Allocity. Allocity provided application
specific storage management software for managing Microsoft Exchange databases.
Allocity was sold to EMC in 2004. Prior to Allocity, Matt was COO of Excite@Home
and CEO of Lipstream Networks, a Voice over IP company. Before Lipstream, Matt
worked for Sprint for 13 years, where he held several executive positions, including
VP of National Sales for Sprint PCS, SVP and General Manager for Sprint Canada, and
Chief of Staff. He started his career at AT&T.
Matt received his bachelor's degree from Miami University and his MBA from the
University of Michigan.

Peder Jungck
Founder and Chief Technology Officer
Peder is a networking industry visionary, IT executive and
entrepreneur who has pioneered high-speed content-based
networking and security systems to meet the needs of
government, carriers, and large enterprises. During
a career that spans more than 20 years, Peder has worked
closely with Global 2000 customers, helping them simplify
and streamline the deployment and management of their
large-scale, complex networks. Peder is the creator
and guiding architect behind the company’s CS-2000™
Network Applications Server and RAVE™, CloudShield's
unique and powerful packet processing development language.
Previously as CTO of yesmail.com, Peder helped
guide the company to a successful IPO and subsequent acquisition by
CMGI. Earlier positions included: CTO of SVIC, Managing Partner and CIO
of Internet-technology consulting firm Remington Associates, Ltd., and
VP of Production and Engineering for groundbreaking consumer CD-ROM
developer TerraGlyph Interactive Studios.
Also noteworthy are his positions at Sterling
Commerce, developing SNA and TCP/IP bulk data transfer applications,
and at AT&T Global Information Systems/NCR, where he led the
group's Technology and Professional Services efforts on behalf of J.C.
Penney.
Peder attended Clarkson University for electrical
and computer engineering and received a bachelor of arts degree from
Beloit College in mathematics and computer science.

Roland Van De Meer
A ComVentures cofounder, Roland Van der Meer invests in technologies and early stage
communications companie with the potential to redefine business and economic models, as
well as the way in which whole segments of the communications industry operate.
Listed 18th on the Forbes Midas List of top 100 technology dealmakers, he focuses his investments
on systems, components and services. Roland was one of the first to spot the digital transmission
revolution and funded PairGain. He followed this up by being the only venture investor in Broadcom
(Nasdaq: BRCM), the broadband communications semiconductor company that led the frontier of digital
signal processing. Roland was also the initial investor in Arbinet (Nasdaq: ARBX), which created
and operates the world's largest market exchange for telecommunications carriers, and Zantaz, the
leader in email/file archiving and retrieval.
He has more than 20 years of experience in the communications industry as an engineer, strategist
and investor. Before helping to cofound ComVentures, Roland served as a partner with Partech
International, co-founded Communications Ventures, and spent several years with Hambrecht &
Quist Venture Partners. Early in his career, he held engineering positions with GTE Labs and Sprint.
He holds a BSE from the University of Pennsylvania and a BS from the Wharton School.
