A typical DNS server resolves thousands of queries per second. CloudShield is able to resolve DNS queries at over 800,000 per second, or more than a hundred times the number of the average DNS server and 10 times faster than other DNS caching servers. It follows, and benchmarks, like the ones below confirm, that CloudShield DNS Defender increases capacity thereby delaying the need for additional servers; further, it permits the decommissioning of large numbers of servers from the DNS server farm.
